At the US Bi-based Coating Summit 2019 in Dallas, Texas, Mr. Matawala brought statistics and figures of the paint industries, the usages of paints, raw materials, market trends, and product-wise data. He also connected the volumes in proportions with the wastage and paint scrap created from factories, individual users, homes, and other production and use sources. Finally, his presentation provided solutions on how we can better utilize the leftover paint and related materials.
While presenting to the Asia Biobased Coating Summit 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand, Mr. Matawala noted the current state of global paint use, and he explained the need for and urgency of having options to reuse paint. However, Mr. Matawala did not just identify a problem, he also pointed to a solution by revealing how he has successfully created programs that saved over 40 million kilograms of paints from going into land burial or fuel blending. He also elaborated on the products that are created from recycling, the costs of such a recycling effort, how this is possible in developing economies, and his personal unique and extraordinary position, with background, knowledge and love for the providing revolutionary solutions.
